Spark Life, the first European contest dedicated to emerging technology and social innovation was launched in May 2017 by thecamp. Its ambition: creating a more sustainable world and more humane societies by improving people’s daily lives.


More than 120 startups from 13 countries applied to the first edition of Spark Life

The Spark Life Contest was launched in May 2017 at the instigation of thecamp and its partners AccorHotel, Gares & Connexions SNCF, le Village by CA, Sodexo and Steelcase. These major companies decided to work together to promote startups that have developed the best solutions to improve our quality of life. For the first edition of the contest, great innovations met with genuine success with more than 120 applicants from 13 countries. Spark Life winners in the themes Health & Wellbeing, Social Interactions and Spaces & Environment will be announced in October 17th in London.

The 7 finalists are invited to pitch at Sodexo Quality of Life Conference

In June, 42 semi-finalists including Orosound were chosen to present their innovation at Viva Technology in Paris. After attending pitches, Spark Life’s partners selected the 7 startups that will be at Sodexo Quality of Life conference for the last match. Biootech,, Disruptive Technologies, Eelway, Orosound, Smunch and Ween will thereby meet in London in October. They will speak twice: in front of a jury and of all participants at the event. Pierre Guiu will stand up for Tilde noise-filtering earphones in the Space & Environment category that rewards solutions and services for smart buildings or offices.

Winners will start a special cooperation with Spark Life partners

Spark Life winners will be revealed at Sodexo Quality of Life Conference in London. Into the bargain: a 20,000 € POC contract with one of the partners, one-week free pass at thecamp, the first European campus dedicated to emerging technology and social innovation, and an optional acceleration program.
