Responsibilites

We are looking for a passionate Audio Application Engineer to join our embedded development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying Tilde® headsets to our corporate clients. This role involves both implementing and improving the embedded software and testing and configuring the headsets for optimal compatibility with communication software. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and working on embedded software to integrate features based on client needs.
• Identifying and participating in the resolution of technical issues encountered in the field.
• Ensuring the successful deployment of TILDE® headsets at client sites.
• Monitoring the compatibility of TILDE® headsets with various softphones.
• Providing technical support to resolve issues related to TILDE® headsets and audio configurations.

Profile

You are passionate, have strong technical expertise, and are ready to take on the challenge of contributing to deploying innovative embedded audio solutions.

• Degree in embedded software development engineering
• Solid experience in C development
• Proficient with debugging tools and version control systems
• Strong technical skills in audio configuration
• Knowledge of USB and Bluetooth protocols
• Ability to work independently and solve problems
• Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively
• Proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken

Terms

• Full-time, permanent position (CDI).
• Availability: as soon as possible
• Office location: Paris Opéra
• One day of remote work per week
• Travel required within France and abroad

• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team on the design and development of new products
• Evaluate and analyze both new hardware technologies and future products
• Work cross-functionally with the acoustics, software, and electronics teams.

Profile

• Over 3 years of experience in consumer electronics product development, preferably with audio functions
• Over 3 years of MCU programming experience
• Experience with version control and project management software (GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira)
• Experience in DSP programming and audio systems

Orosound Tilde® is a premium office headset, that comes with an application suite. The internship aims to participate in the development of our multi-platform software, including frontend and backend design, features development and testing with Tilde products.

You will work on user interface, databases architecture, to improve and unlock the following capabilities :

• Update the device to the latest version in one click.
• Control the device parameters and user preferences.
• Get access to specific resources.
• Direct diagnostic for our support team and live feedback for customers.
• Allow tracking and management of a dedicated fleet of products.

Missions

The aim of the internship is to participate to the design of the voice capture system of a True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones reference design. It will be composed of several microphones as well as an accelerometer (AXL) placed inside the earbud. Several topics can be handled:

• Microphones positioning and beamforming techniques ;
• Acoustic Noise Reduction (NR) algorithms ;
• Combination of acoustic and AXL data to optimize NR and voice quality.

Profil

• Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing techniques for Audio Signals ;
• Scripting and algorithm prototyping (Python, Matlab) with version control ;
• Ability to read, analyse and explain research papers ;
• Appreciated: experience with microphone arrays signal processing ;
• Appreciated: experience with speech enhancement techniques (noise suppression, echo cancellation).
