Connection

Native Bluetooth

The Tilde® Evo headset features Bluetooth 5.4, allowing wireless connection to various devices (smartphone, tablet, computer…), and is compatible with all operating systems (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android…). You can connect to two devices simultaneously and store up to 10 devices in the headset. This enables automatic pairing as soon as the device is detected.

New Pairing

For the first connection of a device to your headset, initial pairing is required.

  • Hold down the on/off button until the LED light next to it flashes blue.
  • Go to your device’s Bluetooth settings.
  • Click on ‘Tilde Evo XXXX’
  • An audible notification will confirm the pairing success.

After the initial pairing, your device will automatically connect to the headset or be listed among your preferred Bluetooth devices.

To ensure easy daily use, make sure the audio configuration is saved as the default Bluetooth setting. In your computer’s audio settings, select “Tilde Evo XXXX” as the input and output audio device.

Bluetooth & Dongle Reset

The Bluetooth and Dongle reset erases all previously connected devices from your headset. To do this, press and hold the “on/off” and “NC” buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. An audible notification will confirm the reset.

Bluetooth Dongle

A Bluetooth dongle is a small USB stick-shaped adapter. It ensures a stable and high-performance Bluetooth connection for computers that have variable performance with their built-in Bluetooth chip. A pre-paired USB-C Bluetooth dongle is included with the Tilde® Evo headset.

Pre-Paired Dongle

The Bluetooth dongle included with the Tilde® Evo headset is pre-paired by default with the headset contained in the same box, avoiding the need for initial pairing. To connect your Tilde® Evo headset:

  • Insert the dongle into your computer’s USB-C port.
  • The connection between the dongle and the headset will be made automatically.

Pairing a New Dongle

If you have a dongle that is not pre-paired with your headset, initial pairing is required:

  • Plug the dongle into your computer’s USB port and launch the Orosound Link application.
  • Turn on and connect your Tilde® headset to your computer using the USB cable.
  • In the Orosound Link application, go to: Link > Dongle.
  • Activate the Bluetooth on your headset by holding the on/off button until the LED flashes blue.
  • In the application, select the name of your headset “Tilde Evo XXXX” and click on “Pair Dongle.”

An audible notification will confirm the successful pairing. Once the initial pairing is completed, you only need to insert the Bluetooth dongle into your computer’s USB port for your Tilde® headset to connect.

To ensure easy daily use, make sure the audio configuration is saved as the default setting for the dongle. In your computer’s audio settings, select “Tilde Evo Dongle” as the input and output audio device.

Wired USB Connection

The Tilde® Evo headset comes with a USB-C cable for a wired connection to any device (smartphone, tablet, computer…) with a USB-C port, and it is compatible with all operating systems (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android…). To connect your Tilde® Evo headset to your device, plug the USB cable into the USB ports of both devices.

Surrounding Management

Active Noise Cancellation with Transparency

The Tilde® Evo headsets offer noise reduction of over 30 decibels with hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC or NC) technology. The Aware mode provides natural transparency, accurately reproducing the user’s voice and external sounds as if not wearing the headset.

To switch between available noise control modes, short press the [NC] button:

  • Active noise cancellation: you are isolated from disturbing noises.
  • Aware mode (transparency): you hear your surroundings as if not wearing the headset.
  • Active Noise Cancellation off : no noise control applied.

F2F Conversation (Face-to-face)

The patented F2F feature by Orosound allows quick face-to-face exchanges while keeping the headset on, offering a natural conversation while reducing background noise.

When F2F mode is activated, active features such as music or noise cancellation are paused to allow the conversation. They automatically come back when you exit F2F mode. To activate or deactivate F2F mode:

  • Start a F2F conversation: short press the [Tilde] button
  • End a F2F conversation: short press the [Tilde] button

Note: The F2F conversation feature is not available during an ongoing phone call. The [Tilde] button is then dedicated to managing phone calls (answer/hang up).
